Carters Rest is a private business with the aim to be the businessman, family and traveller’s home away from home. We have a Superior rating by the AA.

Well known for their hospitality, the owners Gerhard and Heléne Davel ensure that guests will soon feel at home and at ease during their stay in Kimberley.

Arrival times are from 14h00 and departure is before 10h00.

Unit 1

This is a double/single room. Queen sized bed with oak furniture. Lounge/dining room with open plan kitchen. Fully equipped bathroom (bath and shower). Private exit onto tennis court.

Unit 2 & 3

Double bed with table, mirror, chair and an en-suite bathroom with shower.

Unit 4

Double/Single room. Equipped with 2 single beds, table, chair and mirror. Fully equipped bathroom (bath and shower).

Unit 5

Adjacent to main house. Equipped with double bed and beautiful antique oak furniture. Private exit to garden. En-suite bathroom with shower.

Unit 6 - 15

These lovely rooms can be used as family rooms and adjacent rooms can be linked.

Meals

Breakfast will not be served formally, but each unit is stocked with a variety of foods.

In the fridge you will find a selection of the following: Yogurt, fruit juice, milk, butter, cheese, jam.

You will also find 2 slices of bread or bread rolls, coffee/tea/sugar, rusks, muffins/scones, fresh fruit in season and cereal.

Each room has access to braai equipment and wood.
Side dishes may be arranged beforehand at a minimal additional fee.

We at Cartersrest Guesthouse follow a number of initiatives to ensure that we have a minimal impact on the environment.
