I made a mistake with my booking dates and only realised it on the day. I phoned and they accommodated me and went the extra mile. The food was very nice and the atmosphere at the guest house is very relaxing. I will make use of their facilities in a heartbeat.

Good location, easy to find. The owners very welcoming friendly & helpful, gave us the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful, quiet garden with lovely pool & little nooks to sit & relax. Secure parking. Lovely big clean, en suite rooms with comfortable beds & very well equipped kitchenette. Breakfast is DIY, but included in the price. The fridge is very generously stocked with all sorts of breakfast goodies & there is also a big bowl of fruit. Great attention to detail, even down to a little carafe of sherry! They've really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Loved everything about this place.

I like the fact that they offered/served continental breakfast in your room, everything you need is already placed for you in the room, so no need for you to rush to catch breakfast, you can have breakfast whenever you want. The property is also very secure and ample parking space.

Gerieflike verblyf en goeie waarde vir geld. Ons was met ons aankoms hartlik ontvang deur Helene. Die kamer is ruim, baie gerieflik en modern en die kombuis area is goed ingerig met alles wat nodig is. Vir ontbyt was daar 'n keuse van brood, croissants, pappe, kouevleis, kaas, jogurt, vrugte - te heerlik! Hierdie plekkie is ideaal vir oorslaap of selfs om 'n paar dae te kuier.

The room was well appointed with an air conditioner which was great since Kimberley was boiling hot. It was beautifully clean and very comfortable.

I shall have no hesitation in recommending Cartersrest Guesthouse to any who might have to stay overnight in Kimberley – we were most comfortable, and I was very impressed at the convenient ‘breakfast’ your organized – so sensible, to let your guests ‘do their own thing’ instead of having to be confined to a meal in a dining room.

Baie dankie ek het heerlik gebly die volgende is vir my veral positief: Groot spasie (tuin), Vriendelikehdi van die personeel, Kamers is lekker groot, Selfcatering, Pick a Pay wat naby is (indien mens iets vergeet het), Die skryftafel veral vir mense wat wil werk (ek kan nie met ‘n rekenaar op ‘n bed werk nie), eetgoed voorsien.

Dit was aangenaam en die rustigheid/atmosfeer is beslis die moeite werd. Sal julle definitief aanbeveel. Dit sal my plek wees as ek weer Kimberley gaan besoek.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carters Rest Guesthouse in August 2014, and will gladly recommend this facility. The response on the booking request was immediate even though this was done over a weekend. The reception and service at the guesthouse was very organised and professional. All aspects of the facility were modern and practical, well maintained and very neat. The continental breakfast variety in the room was a real treat and very convenient. We will definitely make use of Carters Rest Guesthouse again.

Ek is nie 'n kenner nie, maar ek glo dis die klein goedjies wat van 'n besigheid soos 'n gastehuis 'n sukses maak. Dis die klein dingetjies by jul gastehuis wat my keer op keer sal laat terugkom. Die verwarmer en TV wat vir my aangeskakel is, het my sommer tuis laat voel. Dis mooi skoon en ruim. Ek het SO lekker gebly- sien julle beslis weer! Dankie, dankie!
